This opening is 100 percent remote in Australia or if you prefer Hybrid in either our Sydney or Melbourne Offices.

We are searching for a meticulous and experienced data architect to join our talented team.

Your central responsibility as the data architect will be to design and oversee implementation of a new reporting and analytics solution for our flagship product Axelerator Flow. Your duties include selecting cloud-first tools to integrate with our client’s own reporting suite and the Axelerator Flow SaaS ecosystem and designing a fit-for-purpose reporting schema/data structures to facilitate granular reporting metrics and building of data reports to satisfy regulatory bodies within the Insurance industry.

To succeed in this role, you should know how to examine new data system requirements and implement migration models. The ideal candidate will also have proven experience in data analysis and management, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate database design and architecture reports for management and executive teams
  • Analysing, planning, and defining data architecture framework, including security, reference data, metadata, and master data
  • Creating and implementing data management processes and procedures
  • Ensure the reporting solution complies with internal and external regulations
  • Oversee the migration of data from client legacy systems to the Axelerator Flow platform
  • Monitor the system performance by performing regular tests, troubleshooting, and integrating new features
  • Recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems
  • Educate staff members through training and individual support

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or relevant field
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of database structure systems and data mining
  • Excellent organizational and analytical abilities
  • Outstanding problem solver
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Insurance industry regulatory reporting highly desirable.
